ABOUT US

 I’m Tien Do, a completions optimization expert and founder of InDZone Consulting, where I partner with operators to solve some of the industry’s toughest challenges—fracture-driven interactions, casing deformation, H₂S prevention, fault interaction, and Tier 2/3 development. Operators I’ve worked with describe my solutions as “practical, creative, technically sound, and exceeding expectations.”

My journey began in a remote village in Vietnam without electricity, where I saw firsthand how access to energy transforms lives. That experience ignited my lifelong mission: to deliver energy that is safe, efficient, sustainable, and affordable. Against the odds, I earned a Mechanical Engineering degree Summa Cum Laude, immigrated to the U.S., and built my career as a Schlumberger Field Engineer before advancing into technical and leadership roles at Whiting Petroleum and Nine Band Operating. In 2022, while pregnant with my third child, I launched InDZone Consulting.

In under three years, I’ve grown InDZone into a trusted partner for more than 20 operators across the U.S. and Canada—from supermajors to private independents. We are the only firm delivering comprehensive completions solutions that not only improve well economics and operational safety but also unlock underdeveloped reservoirs through innovations.

• Height growth control: 13 wells with zero H₂S production in high-risk Williston Basin areas
• Parent-child interaction: Improved child well performance, risked type curve uplift from –30% to –5% (Haynesville, DJ Basin)
• Fault interaction: Mitigated fault risks, streamlined operations with slickwater-only system, cut >$1MM in costs while exceeding type curve (Bossier)
• Production enhancement: Reduced up to $2.35MM/well in completions costs; boosted IRR from 45% to 56% (Austin Chalk)
• Efficiency Improvement: Realized $9.5MM annual completions cost savings through operational best practices
• Entrepreneurship: Scaled InDZone 5× YoY growth

My work has been featured in SPE publications, keynote addresses, and global technical forums, where I share strategies to enhance efficiency, mitigate risk, and elevate industry performance.

Beyond technical contributions, I advocate for women in energy, serving on the Board of the Women in Oil & Gas Association (WOGA) and mentoring future leaders through EUCI and the Denver Petroleum Club.

I’m passionate about building lasting industry relationships, empowering women, and delivering solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible in completions and reservoir development.
